The “Blob” Story

BlobBoy & Friends creator Kavin Twikoon (Wynn) is a Bangkok-based artist. Kavin moved to Los Angeles in 1997 to study fine arts and film. He holds a BA in video and digital art from California State University, Northridge (CSUN).

BlobBoy is an intriguing character with a fascinating backstory. It’s remarkable how the artist, Kavin Twikoon, found solace and inspiration in creating BlobBoy during a challenging time in his life and the midst of a pandemic. The concept of a character without eyes, relying solely on its shape and inner drive to connect with people, is thought-provoking. BlobBoy’s message of hope, happiness, and positivity, conveyed through vibrant pop art, is refreshing. Kavin’s use of various mediums showcases his versatility as an artist. Overall, BlobBoy seems to have resonated with the artist and offers a unique way for audiences to interpret and connect with his work.

Artist Statement

“Hello, I am Kavin Twikoon, known in the art world as BlobBoy. As a Bangkok-born artist with a Bachelor’s degree in Art from California State University Northridge, I possess a strong foundation in creative expression that has shaped my artistic journey.

Before immersing myself fully in the world of art, I spent nearly two decades as a creative director and owned an art and design studio. This wealth of experience allowed me to cultivate a deep understanding of visual storytelling and develop a keen eye for aesthetics.

My distinctive artistic style is a fusion of abstract and pop art, seamlessly blending bold, vibrant colors with fluid, organic forms. Through my work, I strive to push the boundaries of traditional artistic conventions and challenge the viewer’s perceptions.

I find inspiration in the interconnectedness of the world, exploring themes of identity, culture, and the human experience. My creations serve as a visual exploration of the complex tapestry of emotions and thoughts that weave through our lives.

With a strong desire to share my unique artistic vision with a global audience, I am dedicated to showcasing my creations on an international stage. Whether it’s through exhibitions, collaborations, or digital platforms, I aim to spark dialogue and provoke introspection through my art.

As BlobBoy, I invite viewers to immerse themselves in the vibrant colors, dynamic shapes, and intriguing textures of my creations. I hope to ignite a sense of curiosity, wonder, and contemplation, leaving a lasting impression on those who engage with my work.

Thank you for joining me on this artistic journey, where boundaries are challenged, and imagination knows no limits. Together, let’s explore the boundless possibilities of art and celebrate the beauty of creative expression.”
